Rubric Software
New Measure has created its
Rubric software to help teachers align their academic standards, performance tasks, criteria,
rubrics (scoring guides), and lessons. With precision and ease, teachers sharpen their assessment
design skills and discover that the challenges of performance assessment can be more effectively
managed through the use of these work templates and tools.
Standards and
Benchmarks
Whether you start with the software's preloaded version of academic/
workplace learning standards or add your own state or local curriculum standards and benchmarks
to the standards database, teachers find that instant access to their own standards "jump starts"
their assessment design process.

Performance Task Design
Real world learning and reliable assessment truly
converge when using the software's "Rapid Task Builder". Via this tool and structured design
process, users quickly discover how to create authentic performance tasks. With the simple click
of their mouse, users are able to access a database of hundreds of career, family, community
service, school roles, higher order thinking frameworks, multiple intelligence tasks, or assessment
statements.

Rubric examples
The heart of performance assessment, designing criteria and
scoring guides is facilitated through the use of "Rubric Templates".
Users are able to tap into this software's extensive database
and search for holistic or analytic criteria, 3, 4, and 5 level
rubric scales or add their own performance criteria/indicators.
