Silent Writing

On Task Time I can write for at least a half hour without stopping. I would enjoy writing longer if time allowed. I can be focused while writing up to a half an hour. I can write for a half hour, but I have to stop and get refocused a few times. I write very slowly.
Distractions I am able to ignore noise and other distractions while I'm working. I am able to ignore noise and other distractions while I'm working most of the time. I am bothered by distractions and I often talk to others, move from my seat, or fidget. I am bothered so much by distractions that I must be sitting along before I can start writing.
Brainstorming I brainstorm to help me think of what I will write. I choose to write my ideas quickly so that I don't forget my thoughts. I go back later to edit. I brainstorm most of the time. It helps me to get my ideas down before I forget them. I go back later to edit. I forget to brainstorm and just write. I find it hard to come up with ideas. I do not brainstorm at all.
Sentence Structure I use clear and complete sentences in correct paragraph form. I use clear and complete sentences, but I do not always have correct paragraph form. I use complete sentences most of the time. I am not able to put paragraphs into my work. I am not able to use complete sentences or paragraphs.
Mechanics My spelling and punctuation are extremely good. My spelling and punctuation are adequate. My spelling and punctuation are inconsistent, but it does not effect the comprehension of my story. My spelling and punctuation are unsatisfactory. The errors prevent the reader from understanding what I wrote.
Clarity I communicate my ideas clearly and effectively in writing. My writing is very interesting and understandable. I communicate my ideas clearly in writing. My writing is understandable. I have difficulty communicating in writing. It may be unclear, hard to follow, or boring. My writing only makes sense to me. I am unable to communicate my thoughts to others in writing.
